I have a Windows 2003R2 server hosting 4 Windows 2003R2 virtual servers that form an Office 2007 sharepoint farm. I manage the farm remotely using remote desktop from a Vista box.
I recently updated the VS host and save state on the 4 Virtual Servers. I rebooted the host, and was unable to reconnect. On site the VS host had restarted and the Virtual Server was running. I was unable to start the Administrative Web. I was unable to shut down the server to reboot the server, and did a machine restart. The restart did not fix the issue.
1. What can I do to further trouble shoot the issue? My sharepoint server farm is not operative.
2. Are the virtual servers useable, or is this an indication of some problem with the Office 2007 sharepoint virtual servers?
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.
Dan
What happens when you try to launch the administrative website? Does it just not load or loads with an error? Are you saying that the virtual machines were not running eventhough Virtual Server was? Had you configured Virtual Server to restart the virtual machines automatically when the service restarts?

Thanks for the following responses. Apparently something happend to DNS and I created an incident with MS tech support. We build a new virtual server from ground up and re-installed MOSS, then reattached the configuration database.
